I want my cheap chinese stuff CHEAP !

My first car was $150, back in 1995. 1983 Chevy Citation. Gag. Considering a pair of Air Jordans were $125, I think I did ok.

Cheap is very relative. Inexpensive to me was my Kershaw Launch 8 @ $100. Very inexpensive was a Vic Super Tinker for $20 at Menards a few years ago.

I don't buy "cheap" knives.
 
As a former, elite tier one operator (boys scouts, two years, mid 80s), I'm not sure that meets my specs. If you post a video of you batoning aged oak logs and climb a granite wall with that knife, I might consider buying one.
 
Oh, I dunno. I have an $11 knife that does an acceptable job, although I grant that's a bit much to pay, especially since it's nowhere near as Oper8tor as this. I needed something pretty hardcore, with all the cardboard that I have to cut apart. ;) If the "need" you're talking about is posing for bathroom selfies with all your Airsoft gear, then it's perfect!

(I don't Airsoft: running hurts)
 
What’s the purpose of this thread??? For one thing, high dollar knives are more of a luxury than a need. After all, if folks only bought the knives they need, then a vast majority of knife makers and manufacturers would be out of business and this forum wouldn’t exist.

It is hard to tell tone of voice over the interwebz. This thread has a healthy dose of :rolleyes: in it. At least, that's how most of us seem to have interpreted the OP.

Yeah, there’s a lot of folks with time on their hands right now leading to an abundance of trolling/worthless content. It’s almost like there’s a concerted effort to have a “China Knifes, Ermagerd!” thread on page one of GKD...

I guess it's my fault that I like CRK Sebbies, Spyderco Slysz Bowie, Gayle Bradley 2. If I want cheap, I'll buy RAT 1 or RAT 2... I've had a few of these RAT's and they're good...and made in Taiwan. Spyderco has some of their finest knives made there...is NOT China...
