I want my first Benchmade

I'm thinking I might go with the 525, does anybody have one to compare to say the griptilain?

I thought you said $100. Do you have a new budget?

If so, I would go for the 525 or 520 in your new price range or the 527 or 522 in your old price range. Personally, I like the larger blades (520, 522) but the blue one would be nice to have too.

I would go with the 950 Rift which can be had for $121. My favorite Benchmade.

If you can find a 710 at a good price, I think it would make for an excellent 'first Benchmade' experience. Great knife. :thumbup:

950 hands down unless you can snag one of the knifeworks exclusive presidios in m4. I'm not a fan of aluminum scales, and the presidios are known as pocket shredders. The Rift is one of the best edc knives benchmade makes in my opinion.
