But I'm just too boring. Every single Chris Reeve knife I own is against the law to carry in London and I'll be there for a week and a half for work.

What to do!

Do not risk! Bad times
..... this.

The ramifications of breaking a law in a foreign country can go far beyond the obvious. In most cases this is a simple fine and loss of the blade but in your case it could also mean deportation and boarder issues in the future (in the extreme I know but not worth the risk).

Be thankful you are only there for a week and a half.. I'd probably loose my mind if I couldn't play with my CRKs for more than a week...

Heck . . . I'm honestly not sure about the knife laws here in North Carolina. I've asked the Governor for clarification and I've ask the Attorney General for clarification. Without a doubt I can own any CRK knife. But the laws are not clear to me as to what I can carry as concealed vs open carried (yes . . . I have a concealed carry permit! So I can carry a 9 mm or a .45 caliber or .357 or anything else with no problems or issues at all!) But there may be an issue if I carry a large Sebenza in my pocket! A local police sergeant tells me to not worry about it. No officer is going to arrest me for carrying a large Sebenza and he is probably right! But it's not crystal-clear to me and it should be. So I'm being a jerk and forcing the issue.

Lol. This is one of the reasons why I hate CA too. The knife laws are absolutely ridiculous. It is unclear which is legal or not. So, I play it safe and carry my small sebenzas with me most of the time. I will carry a Large or an Umnumzaan when I really need leverage when I use it at work.

I think most Cops won't bother you if you are not really showing it off or wielding the knife like a madman. Also, I just avoid doing anything stupid which would attract the attention of a police officer...

What will I do if a man eating orange attacks me or I'm trapped in a cardboard box?

I feel so unsafe going to London.

Just moved from SoCal to N Idaho. Can't believe how many signs I've seen that say "gun store"! And I just paid $1.59 a gallon for gas. Man, this place already feels like home.

I lived in Times Square for 12 years. DO NOT carry a knife in the city. I was going to a club one night and didn't realize I had one of my knives in my jacket pocket. They were checking people at the door so I told my friends I'll be right back. I went inside a bodega/stationary shop that was around the corner and bought an envelope for $.70 or something. One of those padded ones with air bubbles inside. LUCKY for me, I always keep a book of stamps in my wallet. I put the knife in the envelope, put a few bucks worth of stamps on it, dropped it in a mail box, and the following day....it arrived in my mailbox at home. I got lucky. ;)

London has some crazy knife laws...and seem to be getting worse! Just leave the CRKs at safely at home and carry a slipjoin:thumbup:

Pick up an Opinel while you're there (take a hone with you to touch up the edge). They're totally legal, innocuous, cheap, and available practically everywhere in Europe and the UK. Cut like a shrieking witch, too.

Hey Andy! Here as well as the Busse site, I see. No ASH's here, however. Strange laws. My Oregon CHL allows me to carry concealed any number of handguns, only limited by my physical ability to do so. But a concealed 4" blade? Criminal!

PS... The first restaurant you encounter, borrow a steak knife. Return upon completion of mission.
