This is NOT a troll thread.

I have several Dark (Dork Ops?) Ops fixed blades that I paid almost MSRP for. Flame me all you want, but they looked to be high-quality knives at the time. Had I known what I know now about their mall ninja marketing practices and bombastic performance claims, I certainly wouldn't have paid these prices and probably wouldn't have purchased them.

These are all NIB with the original paperwork. I was hoping for some advice as to what I could unload these for. I'm in beyond desperate need of cash, and I'm sure there's somebody who will buy one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

take some pics and post them for sale in the Fixed Blade For Sale by Individual section in the Exchange.

If they don't sell there, try a tactical forum. Gun, gear, whatever. Someone will be a mall ninja.

This is the right place to sell them, go to the For Sale sub forums, start a thread and go from there. You should find no problems, lots of collectors looking for various blade ware here.

I can't seem to figure out a price that people will go for. The company's reputation seems to be beyond notorious because of their idiotic marketing. I've still got three listed at $90 each........does that sound too steep?

Put them on on ebay for a .01 starting bid. They WILL sell, but maybe not at the price you want.

The response I was about to make to that comment can only be made in Whine & Cheese.

I think your prices are more than fair, considering even the street retail prices at the big discount cutlery shops. And I see you've sold some of your listings already, so you're doing something right. My suggestion based on the limited BladeForums interest in Dark Ops knives is to either be patient, or to branch out your listings to other sites.

One critique of your listing, if you don't mind, is that I could not tell which pictures were of which knife.

Good luck with your sales.

I seldom sell a knife but imho you're best bet would be the bay. I'm just guessing way more ninja's in the bay than here? If it were me I'd set a reserve at your bottom dollar.
I had no clue how much those cost until today, rather breathtaking. Good Luck!

Knives, like anything else you want to sell, are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay. If you go to the right place, I'm thinking e-bay, then you might actually get more than you think. The money that you paid is already spent. If you don't need them and aren't attached to them(doesn't sound like it) then decide what the least you will take and let'em go. No use crying over spilt milk. BTW. I see you are a member of ARFCOM. You should have known better than to spend your money on anything named "Dark Ops":D

My Dad had a Dark Ops folder a number of years ago and we had no idea people hated them, until I came on here. Then I took a lot of crap because I said it wasn't as junkey as they were trying to make it out to be. (it actually was well made) Anyway he decided to sell it, so he put it on eBay and it brought what he paid for it almost. Then we found out it was a member here that bought it! :D
