I want to make a Knife.

I've decided after watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z_89dYoey4 that i want to try making a knife. I've thrown around the idea for a while just as a fun project and I want to give it a go.

I've got simple hand tools as used in that video but so far my biggest stumbling block is Steel. where is a good reliable source of 01 Tool steel? or are there any recommendations for steel to be used for a newbie like my self?

Anything you can impart on me would be greatly appreciated.

O1 is easy to find, be it any of the main online knife supply sites, auction sites, or the big river site. I've purchased O1 from all of those.
