It won't be original if you make someone else's designs...

Just experiment, that's how most reputable knifemakers got their foot in the door!

^ That. I'm no knifemaker, but if you want to make a titanium handled folding knife of some sort you'd need to invest a lot of time in research, practice, equipment, and MONEY. You're not going to get a simple step by step instruction by posting on ANY subforum for that matter asking for an original design that you will COPY. You'd best be going to these subforums:

to search for old threads pertaining to your question(s), create your own design, and go from there. If your english isn't very good and you're relying on a translator then doing as stated previously would be rather difficult. I don't know what else to say. Good luck.

Well, if you want beautiful color patters on the titanium, you can do it by carefully heating it, or you can anodize it. OR you could heat and hammer the titanium on the outside so that it will have a dented, weathered look like hammered copper, which I think would be beautiful!

I can CNC it ,then heat .
 
Nobody will give you design. Reason: Design is a part of knife making personal. You can copy design or you can make own design.

You must make your design.

I think the first thread was deleted because of this fact.

How about you spend the time...and come up with your own damn design and pattern. If you want some inspiration there are pictures and galleries which you can derive concepts from, but rather than constantly asking the same question to which you will get no answer to, spend that same time trying to create something yourself.

Additionally not that it matters...are you simply searching a design as in a picture of it or the CNC code to create said pattern. The former you can find yourself and the latter you will never get unless you commissioned someone to produce it for you.
 
Hypothetically speaking, how much would you pay for a knife design done in 3D CAD software?
 
I think he's gone. I shortly thought of making him a design because I'm nice like that. Then I checked myself that he is just plainly asking for a design not even trying.

Maybe its a cultural misunderstanding and in the country he is from people that are designers or thinkers give out ideas and people just copy/make them and write "designed by xxx" on them and everyone is happy and earns respect.

It's just not how I'm used to doing things.

I was kinda hoping it would look like a dragon or some junk.
 
This seems to be a language thing. Maybe the guy is asking for help and using the wrong adverb,noun,asjective-etc. I live in NYC- and there are A LOT of different languages-- and -- A lot of bums--- bums never ask 3x for change.

Perhaps he is trying to ask--"can you please tell me what this pattern is called?"

I was under the impression we came here to share knowledge .

Looks like a Sebenza blade on a Kershaw handle with a bland looking pocket clip...

It also looks to be a framelock unless there is supposed to be a scale covering the opposite side.

You may be right. I was too aggressive in my previous post. That said, I'm still unsure of exactly what this individual is asking for.

Twosuns- I do not know what pattern this is - perhaps somebody that collects folders might know. Wish i could help more.
