I want to yell at RichardJ for suggesting paper wheels!

Thanks. I'll give razor sharp a call, figure out exactly what i need. I probably have an unused grinder somewhere i could leave setup for sharpening. I'll watch some of Richard's videos in the meantime. I'm sure i could get this down with a little practice, i'm pretty good with stones, it's just the time it takes to do. Plus any opportunity to play with machines..

Where can one aquire a set of these wheels? and what's the best compound. I have an 8" polisher in my workshop.

I bought mine through the Grizzley catalog. It was a great price. I am sure they will ship across the pond as well. I sharpened my axe, hatchet, a fixed Schrade and a Case Clasp in about 15 min. I really enjoy working with the wheels. Razor Sharp system in the Grizzley catalog industrial wood working type stuff. Hope that helps!

Found it in the online catalog, thanks! Yes, Grizzley do ship internationally

If you follow the link in the post above you can read the thread all about it, and see videos demonstrating. Basically they're sharpening wheels for a bench grinder, for those in a hurry:D

Yep... We only have about 3 weeks until archery deer and elk season opens up... :D:cool:
I've been spending time gettin the hunting knives good and sharp, which they are... Now my left forearm is almost completely bald

There is so much gratification when you get a knife sharp enough so it will shave easily
