O.k. guys it's time for me to eat sh!t. I judged The Knife Outlet to Quikely last week and I just want to clear their name. I didn't know that the knife was put in a envelope until Fred posted back, when I took it to the post office the post master said he personaly would package it so nothing would happen to it because i stress it to him it need to be in good shape and I paid $12 bucks for that promise . but for the clip ware it had that when I recived it that was one of the reason I sent it back, Iquess I should have noted it in the package. So in closeing let me again stress how sorry that I am for my post and Fred the refund is not expected, and to everyone who replyed to my 1st post I apologize to you all also, Fred is lucky to have all of backing him like you did.

TODD1,

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong, and you just that. Let me say that I appreciate your apology, even though I wasn't one of the posters to your previous thread. I've bought a couple of things from Knife Outlet, and have always been treated very well. Next time on the shipment, if you can't pack it, do like I do sometimes. I pay a little more and go to Mailboxes, Etc. The outlet by me takes good care of my stuff. They will package it right in front of me, and help me with the paperwork, etc. Sometimes us "Govt. Employees" (no, I'm not a Postal Worker, and I rarely go Postal!

) forget who's really paying our salaries...ALL OF US TAX PAYERS!

Again, thanks for the apology, and welcome to the forums.

Todd,
There's no apology on my behalf required.
I am, however, glad to see that you have shown us "good form" with this separate apology/recind post.

Don't sweat your previous post. You have now done the right thing and have learned something in the process.

People at Bladeforums are very quick to defend their own, and also very gracious when folks admit they screwed up. We all make mistakes. It is how we deal with those errors that reveals character.

There are plenty of folks who have made themselves look bad here in the forums. There are far fewer who have had the strength of will to acknowledge their own mistakes.

Thanks for your post Todd. I hope you stick around to play and learn with the rest of us.

Todd,

Thanks for checking into it a little more and posting this. It is tough to admit fault and eat crow, but it makes you stronger in the long run. I hate to hear about the knife, though. Is it fixable?

Take care,
Chris

Todd,

Welcome to the forums. If my experience is typical, there's a lot of good info to be had around here.

Again, welcome. Glad to have you aboard.

Now maybe you could go to the original thread and post the same apology so that when people do a search they will see it there. Wow! The Postmaster personally packages things for you? I've never gotten that treatment when I went there. One other question, did you mention the wear on the clip when you originally returned it, or did you remember that after you took it in the shorts from the BFC members?

Just a point of information -- all of us taxpayers may pay the ordinary government worker's salary, but the Postal Service is supported entirely by fees for goods and services. USPS hasn't received tax revenues since about 1975.

I don't know what a postal employee thought he was doing, packing an item for shipment. That's not part of the service. Maybe it should be, or could be some day, but that employee definitely made more trouble than he solved by getting involved in this one.

Quick question: with all of the workplace shootings in the news lately, how many of those "going postal" were postal employees? Would you like people assuming you were a joke or a maniac, based on where you work?

Some argue that you aught to never apologise for anything. They are arseholes. A REAL man can admit he is in the wrong or made a mistake.

I have far more respect for an honest man than a arrogant lier. Fair play Todd1 you had the guts to say when you were wrong.

Fred has a lot of good will here, as he is a nice guy to deal with. He is one of the 'few' dealers I will deal with.

Glad it is sorted out.

W.A.
