I went to a Tokyo knife shop today

I saved the top two pix to My Pictures and then enlarged both of them with my IrfanView photo program, another free download.;)
Danny took some damned nice pix here guys!!!! I enlarged one to twice size and the other nearly three times its size and both come out very clear with little distortion!!!!!!!
Absolutel amazing it is!!!! Every time I've tried that before the pic came out all blurry and such, had to delete 'em they were so poor, but not these!!!!:D :D :D :D

Actually the pix came out so clear I could clearly see the knives that Keith was talking about!!!!

Pic 1, column one, items five to ten down...:D

Keith,
I cant make out the prices, but I can call the shop and ask if you really want to know.I think those knives you are talking about were in the 200$ range, but Im really not sure about that.
Those look like the saji knives.

Alf,
I wish that any words in Japanese had specialized meanings. You will pull your hair out by lunchtime over here, I guarantee it. The only thing they dont quibble about it money. For everything else, the meaning of the words you speak are whatever you want them to be.

I had a guy at Nihontoken who couldnt tell me the name of the metal bands on a 30,000$ katana saya.
He could take my money and sell it to me, but he didnt know a koiguchi from a semegane.

You wouldnt believe it.
