Dont mean to hijack this thread but at which stage is it a good idea to give out your phone nr to the buyer?
When a pick up is arranged is it best to meet at a neutral location & not have the person come to your home if you have no business address?
 
I'm having trouble finding it. I used becker k and becker knife sheath with no luck. What keyword did you folks use to find it?
 
ebay's a trip.. I've sold everything from cars, guitars to cd's and other odds n ends.... sometimes you get a grip when the sharks start into an auction frenzy.. :D

ex: I had an old mark and brian cd from 95.5 klos back in the day, I paid $10 for it at block buster listened to it once sold it on the bay in '99 for $152 !!!!!

I was still living out there but my brother lived in venice right down the street from the station, I called him, told him to hit all the local record stores, pawn shops etc as I was planning to retire on these bad boys..

I digress, 2 days later the exact cd that was autographed by mark & brian sold for $40 !!!!!!

go figure... I guess the moral of the story is, its all about timing... I like to end all my auctions when I know (or hope to know) people will have been paid and are off work... to end an auction early on a weekday is a no go....... end it on the weekend evenings :D...................

Battle Creek, I use to listen to those guys when I lived in Cali. I was 6 or 8 at the time but I still remember listening to them.
 
i cant believe im the only one thats bid, i thought id end up in a bidding war over that beauty man (im sure you hoped for that as well :D). Im prepping the newly recieved bk9 for your sheaths arrival, theyre gonna make a gorgeous pair....knock on wood and all those that would bid against me forget you read this...jk its all in good fun
 
I dont know; there is still 16 hours left on it, and a small group or people watching it. You never know what can happen. :)
 
yeh thats what im worried about. Ill be right in the middle f work when the auction ends and i know how them ebayers work they bid like crazy in the last 5 minutes. its totally not fair to me, but awesome for you. Either way nice work man, if you put another up ill be sure to bid on your stuff again..
 
Thanks. For the next sheath I put up it'll probably be on the weekend. If I'm understanding everyone correctly that is the best time to end an auction. So this weekend I'll be starting a new auction.
 
I have heard ... and seen ... too much concerning that place.

Thus, I avoid it. Like the plague.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how everything went. I think I might put something else up this weekend. :D
