As some of you know, I had surgery in Dec. to fix a torn extensor tendon in my left elbow. Then some ELSE snapped in my elbow in Jaunary, and have been dealing with a huge amount of pain since. Well, I had an EMG & he said that the little ligament that holds the ulnar nerve is torn. My Orthopod also said that I have Cubital Tunnel as well.(Cubital tunnel syndrome is the effect of pressure on the ulnar nerve, one of the main nerves of the hand. It can result in a variety of problems, including pain, swelling, weakness or clumsiness of the hand and tingling or numbness of the ring and small fingers. It also often results in elbow pain on the side of the arm next to the chest.) He wanted to try giving me a shot of Cortisone, before surgery. The shot did nothing. He said if in 2 weeks the shot didn't work, I would HAVE to have surgery. So, I called him 2 weeks after the shot to tell him that it did nothing. We ARE scheduling surgery. I AM looking forward to having this surgery, as it WILL relieve my pain!! I do not have the date yet. I will keep you posted. Thanks for listening.
