Took me a while to warm up to it but there's actually some genius to be found on there. I mainly "follow" comedians and generally funny people.

I don't know if you guys are familiar with the HBO show Eastbound and Down and the character Kenny Powers, but the actor (actually, probably a publicist) "tweets" as his character. Here's an example from this morning:

@KP -- Working on a new children's book - "Kids Say The Darndest ******* Stupid ****"

I follow comedians too. Free jokes. It's great. I also follow football people like Chris Mortensen, Adam Shefter, Peter King, Bob Globber et al for fantasy info fast. I don't have them forwarded to my phone because that would be insane.

Twitter huh???. . . . It sounds similar to a name I was called when I was younger. . . . Oh wait, that was just "twit" . . . . Is it something that Conway Twitty does????

I didn't opt for the phone-forwarding as well, and for the same reason.

Heck this PC thing is almost to much for me. I'd never get a knife if I had to Tweet for it. I really miss the older simple days, and would just as soon telegraph my order in
