I Would Buy That If.....

I like to pull boogers out of my nose with the tweezers while riding the eL.

Next time I'll take a selfie doing it with my Leatherman Wave.

Yes, I know. I'm a horrible person. But pretty much anything goes on the eL. I like to bring a stick and poke the sleeping homeless people.

Gentlemen, may I introduce you to spykez's law?

"There is (probably) a YouTube for that."

Possibly NSFW, depending on your place of work's sense of humour. Mine is fine.

Maybe you should consider one of the custom Ti 91mm SAKs. You get metal scales and the toothpick and tweezers.

Personally, I have found the SAK tweezers and toothpick almost useless. Are you willing to use a wooden toothpick on your teeth that has been in your pants pocket day after day? If so, I guess using a plastic one under the same conditions is OK. It is kinda gross, if you ask me. There is a reason that wooden toothpicks come in plastic wrappers, folks.

The Alox series is a cut above Vic's other products. Why any SAK fan would deprive themselves of an Alox knife just because of a weak pair of tweezers and a gross, bacteria ridden piece of plastic, is beyond me.

First off, it's not like I'm sharing my toothpick, if there is a little bacteria on it I'll survive. It can't be any worse than kissing someone, do you know how much bacteria is in a persons mouth? But for your information my SAK is on my keychain which is clipped to a belt loop. It's not a loose toothpick floating around in my pocket. I use the toothpick, wash it off, or wipe it off on my handkerchief if that's all that I have available until I can wash it later. I occasionally drop a little alcohol into the hole on the SAK. I also have a couple bags of replacement toothpicks so I can toss them out (or usually lose them) every few months.

But you really shouldn't stress so much about germs, if you are constantly obsessing over keeping everything around you 110% sterilized you are going to have a weak immune system.

I have seen people use the same toothpick for years AND offer to share. I also know people that will use it without cleaning. You are way ahead of most people I know that use that little plastic torture device. My comments were about the use of SAK toothpicks, in general, not really about how you use them but, I can see why you would think so. Considering how I wrote my comment and all. BTW, I hardly stress about germs but I do have a background in medical/health care so I guess that I look at things a little differently than most people.

Back to the knives. IMO, the Alox series is so nicely done that it is a shame to pass one by for the plastic scaled models. And, yes, I would buy an Alox model if it was offered with toothpick and tweezers but still feel that they are one step above useless. The same holds true for Vic's scissors.
