I've always wanted to get a katana, it's always been a dream of mine to own one, and now I'm actually going to get one. I'd like to buy a decent katana (not a crappy low quality plastic thingie) for around $100-200. I just want it to be sharp, and real. I don't plan on fighting with it or anything. Thanks for the help. I'm not going to be spending more than $200 simply because I can't afford it.

I would suggest saving up for a better one but you could do worse than a Paul Chen Practical Plus Katana. Try looking on 888knives and you should get a decent price on one, just make sure to go for the practical PLUS and not just the practical on the off chance you ever want to cut something.

I'd also suggest this one:

Garric - sorry, can't send you a PM for some reason (????) But I've got one that I'd sell you right in that dollar range. It's not a cheapo, and it's real sharp too. Beautiful.
If you're interested, e-mail me and I'll get you some pics. tdmonk@gmail.com
