I would like to see a...

I would like to see a set of these---only Beckerized !!! These are 1/4" thick. Believe it or not the 6" & 7" are a bit blade heavy, while the 8" seems perfect. I think its because the handle is longer & helps off-set the blade heavyness. So either 3/16" thick or 1/4" with a longer handle to make it light/er & fast/er in the hand when needed, yet can choke back for serious chopping. Sorry, the Zomstro just does not do it for me. Great for zombies but not food prep or bushcrafty type things.

Everytime I see a Becker cleaver post all I can think of is a Becker Competition chopper... with the squared tip and everything... I'm sure they would have to make it out of 5160 or something... dunno maybe 1095cv would work, but just a long squared Comp choppper like what you see at bladesports... I am sure Mr. Becker has thought of this before.

Bird and trout knives are a bit smaller than the tweeners and have thinner blades that are also not quite as thick. I own a 17 and like it but it is a long way away from a B&T. I love how sharp I can get my 17 and a thinner blade would be even better. I has an old timer with a thin blade and hands down it was the sharpest knife I've ever owned. It was a larger camp style blade and I gave it to my sister in law who was in need of a good sharp knife for the kitchen. My favorite all time knife that was used for darn near everything was about B&T size. Not to far off the tweener length, but the blade was half as thin and wide, with a slightly smaller handle. Google will bring up many examples of B&Ts to review, but I prefer the drop point these days. It also should be flat ground or convex. :)

I would like to see...

Mr. Becker pull up to my house with a gift box saying "Thanks for becoming obsessed with my knives, here's one of each to kick start your collection!" :)

or a Becker-ized small hand axe,

but if I had to chose one it would be the first one :)

How's this Derek?

this looks very similar to the drawing I did for Todd's contest a while back.

thanks g-shark.
sorry dubs - my memory was faulty -- mine had a steeper nose than yours.

I still would love to see a saber 16 in cpm3v and maybe a 15 too, and of course some of the big blades in a Super steel would be groovy too.

Being the mall ninja that I am, I wanna see a Becker Tanto in the Tweener category. And It would need to be traditional style, not 'Mercan Tan toe. The BK5/15 would be the closest I can get at this point.

A BK15 is basically a traditional tanto. As is the BK5.

Super remora with scales and scandi grind. Better steel and sheath.

Fills the kabar niche that's missing a good drop point hunter, the neckers are to wide at the blade to be classifies as that, sure the trailing point dogs head hunters are Bice but their pricey and with minimal guard.

I would like to see the Tweeners about 10% larger. While they're perfect for most hands, they're a smidge small for mine. I love their size and handiness, but they could grow just a little and I'd be happy. Something just a little more "tweenie" for us Neanderthals. :)

Since this thread started, I've continued to give the subject some thought..............and I came up with another great idea. To me anyway.....

The Tweeners have a two-digit model number based on the bigger model they're most similar to, ala the BK15 from the 5, BK17 from the 7, and BK16 from the .......hey wait a minute. OK, so it's not a perfect model numbering system, but close. So anyway, MY idea for the 10% larger Tweeners I'd love to own, is to label them 15.1, 16.1 and 17.1, signifying both their 10% size increase, as well as a tip of the hat to the Microsoft method of labeling their latest versions of whatever their engineering at the time. Maybe a little geeky, but I think it's got promise, and would make keeping track of three new knife models very easy.
