Ok...I have this Mora knife and would love a better/different sheath. I am thinking about something with a ferro rod loop on it. What do y'all use?

Dougo

Sorry about the blur...shutter speed or something was a touch out of whack...

doug83, what you want is a kydex from Eric at On Scent Tactical. He goes by Normark on the board, or you can go to his website at http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/ You have a Clipper design there I do believe (860-MG to be exact). Go to his products page and go down to Frosts of Sweden and you'll find the sheath for Clippers and a photo link. I'm pretty sure he adds firesteel loops as well for a little extra. It will cost more than the knife, but they are pretty in expensive, and he does great work.

Thanks for the heads-up...

check out jre industries as well for leather mora sheaths... Definitely eric at onscene tactical for kydex...He's a wiz...

Eric (Normark) is a real pleasure to work with! For a clipper - kydex will keep it light and slight.

I'd ditto this, very easy fix:

I tried getting hold of Normark (Eric at Onscene) for probably a month or two, and communication was a bit hard to come by. I think he was probably just a bit swamped or something, but it was something to consider if you want one now.

JeffH at this forum also does some awesome kydex work and I hear he is producing for public sale now.

You could also start makin' your own stuff, leather is fun and easy to get into for not much money.

I came to the same conclusion in my review of the Mora classic. A really good knife, absolutely great for the price, but a crappy sheath. I figured I could make a leather sheath out of an old broken leather bag I have. I cold cut the plastic sheath and use the end part as a liner.

Hey doug, I had another Kydex maker put two of these together for my kids:

I like the Kydex for the kids as it's a little safer to resheath the knife.
