I would make a SAK my main EDC but...

Kuro, that gives me an idea. Maybe something as simple as some friction tape could keep it from being so slippery?????

My main EDC is a spyderco of course with a clip, not only does the clip provide fast access it keeps the knife in one place.

Attaching a knife to your belt or something else impairs that access and adds steps to your cutting chore.

keep it simple. grip tape could work?

thanks

My Vic Tinker is always attached to my keychain with a quick-disconnect from the ring. I keep my mass of work/home keys in my EDC bag so my carry keychain just has the work masterkey, my file/desk key, my car key, my wife's car key, and a tritium light. (I get in the house with the garage door opener typically.

If that doesn't work for you, tie a square sinnet lanyard out of a good twine, not paracord. Lowe's/Home Depot usually has mason line in a blaze orange. Tie one that is half of the width and 2/3 of the length of your pinky. This will provide enough friction in your pocket that is doesn't fall out.

Good luck!

My keyring sak is always accompanied by another, more substantial locking folder with a clip. The OHT might be my only exception to that need but right now the OHT serves time in the sheath pouch of my larger (7"-9") fixed blade camping knives.

I think that could work. Grip tape for skateboards feels like rough sand paper and may be a bit too abrasive. But I did see something, I think it was called "stair tape". It felt more like rough textured plastic. It might be easier on the hands and pockets while still providing good grip.

I can't believe no one's made a SAK with a pocket clip! As popular as they are you'd think someone would have thought of it.

There are a few multitools with pocket clips if that would work for you instead.

If things are falling out of your pockets, you might want to look into buying a different kind of pants. You could lose something important one day.

If there's a custom knife modifier who wants to develop a good system for putting pocket clips onto people's SAKs he'd probably do pretty well for himself.
