If mods need to move this, please feel free.

I'm making an attempt to organize a guild with Iowa & Minn makers (limited strictly for geographical reasons) and am looking for guys interested. Dave Larson said he made an attempt a while. This is the revival.;)

If you qualify geographically, and are interested zip me an email (amndreyer@yahoo.com).

Obviously there would be learning between guys, it'd open up direct dialogue between makers face to face as opposed to online. Other guilds also hold some public demonstrations, there are others that have done demonstrations and "mini-courses" at some community colleges, larger representation at shows, some do little projects between members.

Basically we could do whatever we wanted to do. It'd just be more organized and personal if a small group was able to meet on a fairly regular basis.

I have a couple guys down near Fairfield as well as a couple in DSM, so you wouldn't feel too isolated in ottumwa.

My email is amndreyer@yahoo.com if you want more info or want me to add you to the growing list.

NOTE:

After talking with a couple other guys, we feel we'd get more numbers if we'd open it up to a larger pool. I know Kansas has their own thing, but we could toss in Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, whomever.

A great way to get a group going is to do monthly or bi monthly meetings/get togethers at a different guy's shop.

I would be interested in the group and I have a few others in the area that would be interested.
