Ice Razor off to Iraq

Like Cobalt, I spent the past few days polishing my Hell Razor to look like this. My best friend left for Iraq yesterday for the Marines. So I sent the Busse and a Spec Ops sheath along with him. :thumbup: i snapped some pics of it before he let.
This is how the final piece looked. (Yes, the HR bevels are gone!! :D )


This is how she was new


Then stripped and shined


With home-done serrations


Here is the HR with the bevels sanded off sitting behind the Ice Warden. (A Black canvas GW equipt with a mirror finish.)


And finially an absolute mirror.


It's like glass


I'll post more info and pics when I get a chance!

Yes, they look very nice, but I hope it's okay with your friend's commanding officer for carry.
It's been mentioned that some military leaders only allow non reflective knives for carry. I hope it works out!

Great job making the blade shiny! When I was in we couldn't carry non-issue blades that did not have a black or bead blasted finish. A big shiny blade glinting in the sunlight tends to attract unwanted attention from snipers and thieving office pogues. Hope your friend's unit is ok with it.
 
That is tremendous. I am constantly impressed with the level of knowledge, detail, and work that goes into modifying some of the Busses I have seen in this forum. Great job!:thumbup:


As an aside, does anyone think it would be cool to have a modified Busse pics thread? I am not talking about Custom Shop stuff or variants, but stuff that was modified by the owner and/or a custom maker so that it was a perfect fit for the owner.

You did an incredible job on the Razor! Like others said, we need more details though on what you used :D:D:D
