A sheepsfoot in rosewood
Growing up in England, I remember more than any working knife, this Sheepsfoot or Lambsfoot.
Our Gardener had a knife like this.
And going walking in country side I would stop in pubs for a "Ploughmans lunch"
This was a chunk of cheddar cheese (or what ever was local), a half loaf of bread and a pint of the local beer.
What would the locals be cutting the cheese with?
A sheepsfoot in rosewood
The British Army Clasp Knife also had a Sheepsfoot blade, and that pattern is more than 100 years old
Farmers Sheepfoot 70mm (2 7/8th") Blade
Manufacturer: A Wright & Son, Sheffield
A sturdy utility knife with a wide blade
Brass linings, nickel bolsters and Rosewood scales on handle.
70mm Carbon Steel Blade.
