ID help - Satin Jack Custom

So I'm wondering if some of you Hog-fathers can tell me what this is exactly and where it came from (just got it today)

I am pretty sure its a Satin Jack custom of some sort, but just wondering if there is any more info on it----is it a one-off custom shop? Ganza offering? Came from a show?

Any and all info would be appreciated.



 
That's jimmyjones' ZTSJ variant. Was, anyway... From BLADE '05, IIRC Correction: The Minumental Extravaganza, Feb. '06...sigh, love this knife. Congrats!

Honestly, I think it's a one off. The handle of yours is a good match for the one in the pic based on what's showing. I think that one was Jimmy's previously.

I've always been under the impression that's it's a one off. I think Drew has a SJTAC version, there were 2 a SJ & a SJTAC.

I'm currently unable to locate mine, along with 2 Basics 5. I did have some items stolen from my house, but I'm in Colorado. I need to do some more looking around here, and speak with the individual who was staying here. Hoping it's not mine.

Guess what? There is a tiny spot right of the plunge line, just above the choil on both the OPs and your knife that may be of some interest to you.

EDIT to add:
If you look very carefully, you will notice a faint second mark about 1/8th away at 1 o'clock on both knives as well.

I contacted Jimmy last night because I know this one is his. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my words. But the only person who knows this knife better than me would be Jimmy, and I remember him saying he'd never sell it. I'm sorry to bring that news to him but he needed to know. In whatever unraveling this story takes, I hope you get that ztsj-v back, my friend.
 
Well sh*t. Seems like it. That is incredibly disappointing. I've been wanting something like this for a while and of course it seems it stolen.

By the way, I live in NC, so obviously I had nothing to do with it. I just bought it from ebay last week.

Jimmy PM'd me, and I'll respond to him and try to get everything sorted out. This really blows.
 
Not too sure how to proceed in such a case, but I'm thinking a police report filed by Jimmy in Co., taken to the pawnshop may get you your funds back also.

Sorry man, there's a lotta suck in this story, but some GOOD too... I'm really glad that a HOG came up with it, and I hope that y'all are both made whole again in the end.
 
This all really stinks. I hate thieves. :(

Obviously someone is out some money on this. I'll chip in a bit of $ to help everything get made right. Just let me know where to send it.

Dobermaniac, speaking for myself, I know that you did nothing wrong. That thought never even crossed my mind. Hey, if I didn't know this knife and saw it on the 'Bay, we'd have been in a bidding war, as I would have jumped in with both feet to try grabbing it. I've lusted after this beauty since the day I saw the pix, and twice as much since the day Jimmy let me check it out. I'm just really glad it was found by one of us here. :thumbup: I am sorry though...I'd have been crushed also on learning the news. Just hope it works out for you both, that you get your $$$ back from the pawn shop, and Jimmy gets reunited with his knife. Dunno what I can do to help, but if there's anything I can do, one of you please holler at me via PM, email, or FB.
 
That said, I may see if I can find a proxy to go see if that pawn shop has any basic 5's in stock. ;)
