Hey everyone I picked up this bowie knife about a year ago and would just really like to know more about it if possible. I'm certain this piece is 1950s-60s era and know that Romo was an American importer of Solingen knives as well as others. This can be seen stamped on the blade with an arrow going through the letters. Though what really caught my attention is the native American chief head stamped into the face of the leather sheath, I've seen that emblem before on other knife sheaths but do not know the manufacturer. Hopefully for some of you vintage knife gurus out there this is a dead giveaway? The number "172" is stamped on the steel just above the hilt, thinking this is the blank number? Also just faintly I can make out what appears to be "BOWIE" in capital letters on one side of the blade. Hopefully I can get a few photos up to show. Thanks
