WOW, great start. Are you the same guy with the S30V Chinook 1?

Keep it going, I would suggest a smaller EDC folder and maybe start getting into exotic steels.

looks like you're about ready to take the step towards semi-custom or semi-productions... i'm in love with this combo:

Very nice collection there!

I don't have a clue what my first 12 were, but aside from an SAK, I'm sure they were all junk.

yeah im the guy with the chinook 1 s30v lol. i want to get a semi custom knife like a chris reeve or strider but past 200 bucks i start feeling guilty about spending so much on a knife. probably cuz i want to get my pistol permit someday soon so i rather use that money on a nice .45 or something like that lol. yeah im looking to get a small edc blade maybe a spyderco delica or benchmade mini griptilian to add to my collection. i want to try out exotic steels but am afraid i wont be able to sharpen them. only knife i tried is the lil benchmade i have to the far left in my pic and its s30v i tried thinning out the angle but the steel is to thick. i was using a spyderco sharpmaker lol which i dont know if its a good solution. i think 25 will be my max amount of knives since i feel this so far has cost me alot cuz my bills suck right now. thanks for viewing hopefully i get more responses about my collection.

You can always try to trade up, or sell existing knives to fund more expensive purchases :) I sold most of mine.. I had 9 at one point, got down to 4 and sitting at 5 cuz I snagged a first gen delica off a guy for 5 bucks. I kept the tsek cuz it was a gift, not to mention the potential it has to be epic with m390, and then I've got the 860 bedlam, and that thing is just wicked, albeit impractical

Though to be honest I've been lusting for a police for some time now, I want a 4-5" traditional toothpick for a desk knife, I have a custom order in with peter r, I've been talking to custom makers about a kitchen set, I need a good camp knife/lg hatchet combo, I'm dying to get one of church&sons apocalypse series choppers, and there are a couple custom neckers I'm pining after

i have thought about trading but every knife i own has some sort of sentimental value. like for example most of the knives i bought was due to me hitting jackpots at our local casino lol which reminds me how lucky i am. or others were bday gifts or gifts to myself for holiday occasions. my collection so far has cost me about $1670.00 hmm i still have about 13 more knives to go. im going for variety with some what quality. i still need a another balisong thinkn a bradley kimura , double edge dagger or blade either tops knives or that microtech i saw, another bushcraft survival blade either a bark river or esee, i want some sort of a karambit knife i want a strider karambit but i think its hard to find maybe a strider one is easier to find, a few more side opening autos either microtech benchmade or protech , maybe an otf knife, a few small edc blades, a multi tool still havent did much research on these. i want a liner lock knife probably spydie military , a wharncliffe blade probably the blue yojimbo and the yojimbo 2 when it comes out, i also want a frame lock design possibly a strider. and i think after all that i will be satified with my knife collection. after all that is done i'll add a few big blades and a sword or two. anyone recommend any knives in these various categories or think my decision with these knives are not good ? please share with me your thoughts. i'd like to gain knowledge before i blow alot of cash and make the wrong choices. lol

My first twelve knives... would have happened back in 1980 or so, fifth grade. I used to lose so many knives back then.
No picture, but here are a few I remember:

First knife ever, USA-made Schrade Old Timer 34OT
Imperial peanut (still have that one, heavily used), made in Rhode Island
Barlow, probably Imperial
Cheap lockback from Sharp, the KMart in-house brand.
Boy Scout knife, again from Imperial. Still have this one too.

My first 12 were all Chinese junk (Which i still have) except my SAK. I've bought some CRKT's, Benchmades, Ontarios and others to bring my collection total to about 37 knives. I would say you have a great start on your collection, your first 12 are great selections.

can't go wrong with either. Great Products from both companies.

Which one is the Gucci knife?

Jk, looks like a great collection. I think you could use a titanium framelock, though...

Who cares what a bunch of knife dorks on the internet think about your collection? So long as you're happy with your knives, keep calm and carry on!
