I'd like to see a KZ2 and a BWM mate...

Peter, Your KZ2 Mod is what is driving me to keep my KZ2 and work on it. I may have to bite the bullet and give it a go. I just got a belt sander and have given your MOD a real thought. Full convex would be awesome too. Where are you in the UK. I used to live between liverpool and manchester.
 
I am up in the Pennines between Manchester and Sheffield .... how about you, where between Liverpool and Manchester ? I was at school just outside Wigan for a lot of years .... which is likely to be near where you were .... LOL ... it's a small world ...

If you are stripping the KZII and want to fully convex it with the sander .... get a CS Khukri machete first and have a bit of a practise on the grind shaping with that .... a Khukri is'nt the easiest of shapes to start with ....

PM if you want for any tips .... gluing a good leather hide strip onto the platten of the sander is a good tip to stop "chatter" scratches when cleaning up the sides of the blade ... I will post a photo here of my set up but right now my internet connection is really playing up ....
