Hey, BF.. It is I, Velitrius, exhalted shaman of the Terrible Ironic Horde. (You OG's will get that)

Anyways, I have been on hiatus and came back here, only to find that I couldn't log in due to my account "not being able to be found" or such. Soooo, I attempt to start a new account with "Velitrius" as my user name but alas, it states that the username is already in use.

Hmmm.... well since I myself am Velitrius, then surely I should be able to log in, or say I forgot my password and have a reset emailed, or something. Nope, no such luck.

Eh, so I decided that I'd start out here by being Velitrius2 and see if I can't get back to being just plain ol' Velitrius again.

Please give me some guidance on how to proceed, and do enjoy the rest of your day/week/timeframe-of-your-choice

Looks to be a valid account to me.
It will likely send an email to the email account you linked to the account with an access code.
If it is a gmail account, see Spark's stickie at the top of this forum about using gmail with BF.

As long as you have access to that email account, you should be able to log in.

Thanks Frank... I typed Velitrius into the forgot password spot, and it emailed me a link to change the password for the Velitrius2 account... Don't quite understand that one.

I have access to the email account that I'm pretty sure I signed up with... it's a Hotmail account if I remember correctly... and I believe I do... let me know if I'm wrong though.

I think it's an autofill problem. Try putting a space after "Velitrius" before hitting ENTER. That should prevent the software from adding the "2".
Staff can't see your email address. So I can't tell you whether it's a hotmail or not.
 
I gave that a go, tried once with a space and once with two spaces... I think the fact that I attributed the same email addy to both accounts has the software flummoxed maybe.

Can I somehow delete this Velitrius2 account and try opening my original again?
