ID Stamps

Here's a holder I made from an Arbor press.I milled the ram to fit and hold the stamp in with set screws.I also added a piece to the top of the ram to keep it from getting damaged by the hammer.

I made my holder as well. And it will last a life time. Not bad for a one time price. You can see it in my shop

Not to hijack the thread but all of the talk about etching is interesting. I was wanting to try it but not sure really where to start. How did you get your art work done, or what type of program did you use to do it with?

I pulled up the TUStech website and called them on the phone. I ended up going with a font from Microsoft Word for my stencils. My stencils are my first and last name only. If you want more than just information on the font, someone else will have to help out here, since I didn't have any of that done and didn't investigate it. The website address is in one of the early posts of this thread.

I sent them a high resolution picture of the stencil I wanted made and they made the stencil and it came out great. My logo is 1/4" tall in my larger logo and comes out perfect, the smaller logo is in the mail so I'll find out how clearly it etches in a few days.

(yes, I mark my work with the name Tharkis, which is what 95% of the people who know me from online / forums / games etc know me as. Heck at conventions, I answer to it, and a lot of people call me that IRL as a nickname now)
