Hi All,

My brother in law had this old axe sitting with a wood stash on his back patio. I told him I'd sharpen it up for him. The middle of the bit had some damage. I shaped it up and sharpened it. Soaked and cleaned the head with vinegar. It took a ridiculously sharp edge. The head is also perfectly balanced between the poll and bit. I mean perfect. I'm really liking it. SO...does anyone know what this might be? The only markings I can find are pictured below. Says:

3 1/2
M

There was also evidence of a rectangular sticker on the head. Pics:

Thanks for any help. Matt.
