ID This Chris Reeve for me! (I have no freakin' idea what it is!)

Definately Get It, Any Sebbie unless broken is worth more than $200 It has the lder clip, so I would say its possibly BG-42 which raises the value even more. I know I would buy it.

It's a B97 on the inner frame, I just got an email back today with a picture from the seller, so it looks to be a real Sebenza, and I guess in S30V steel? I'm picking it up tomorrow, will post a review of the knife.

The first Sebenzas looked similar to the Classics. This is just a regular Sebenza and probably BG42. Unless it is messed up, it is worth the price.

Looks like a lg Regular BG42 blade as least it should be as the B97 means in was made in Feb of 97.
Someone has heat colored the scales, does not hurt a thing as long as the stayed away from the lock face and in the pics it looks like they did so who ever did it did know something about what they were doing.
I would grab it in a second for 200.00

OH BTW,if they did not hold the heat to it for a very long time the color might buff off with a scotch brite or with bead blasting.I have heat colored ti before and the color would buff right off.

B97 should be BG-42. If the blade is unmarked when taken apart, its BG-42 ( ATS-34 are unmarked but were made way before this ). S30V have an "S" where the bronze bushings go. I am interested to see your review and to see what blade steel it is. Your getting a good deal either way.

What you have there appears to be a BG42 blade and it's definitely worth more than $200. B97 means it was made in the second half of 1997. During that period of tine they used BG42. It is considered more desirable by a lot of people. It's possible that the blade ilwas replaced later but it doesn't seem likely. I would buy it for sure. It will probably be worth even more if you can restore it to it's original condition. Congrats!

I was looking st in again. That may very well be anodizing and not heat color. The pattern looks very much like they brushed on the solution to anodize in several steps to get the different colors.

It looks like case coloring on some of the single action colts I've owned

It looks to vivid & uniform to be done just by heating IMO

I like it very much :D:D:D Rickster :D:D:D

In honesty, that coloring-job looks like someone fooled around with it at home, and definitely not as a factory-special. I for one don't like its looks, but I'd send it right in to CRK and have the scales re-blasted. The blade can be left untouched so your only cost would be $27,50 plus shipping.

If you like its looks, so much the better!
