this is a special design Mike Mann did in the cumberland style to resemble a french chefs profile. i bought it direct from him in the mid 90's. it has seen some slight use but has never been sharpened.
the knife has what Mike called an antique laquer finish to make it look old. it also has the rough forge finish that alot of his blades feature meaning the top portion is left with the raw hammer marks on.
specs:
10 7/8" oal, 6 1/4" blade length, almost 1/4" thick with tapered full tang. 5160 steel
spalted maple handle???(i think) with copper bolster and pins. ox blood colored leather sheath made by his wife.
if you have been looking for a rugged traditional looking fixed blade for woodscraft this one could be for you.
$400-$325-$285-$200 shipped insured. usps money orders only! no paypal SOLD
