35 ha? ok, you got that. Monica is one Couger I wouldn't mind getting attacked by.

Thank god Doc Canada didn't post anything about Couger's! Can you imagine how long it would take me to DIG UP a pic of that woman.

and yes, I mean DIG UP literaly:eek:

:D

Being that Moscow is a college town he probably fell down a hill and made up the story to impress his young girlfriend...;) Its better than saying I fell down taking a leak..lol..

Just goes to show a knife is a usefull tool in many ways.. Hopefully some of those college kids take note.

Don't have many lions around here in downtown Pittsburgh...but I keep a folder on me anyways just incase a pigeon is feeling frisky (as for the women, they are allowed to be :D)

what the hell is there to investigate about? they always say that as if theres some conspiracy with wild animals attacking humans. the cat was hungry!and he was born to kill! the dude got away and was lucky. personally i could give a crap about any law protecting an animal, id kill any animal that attacked me without hesitation. i hate the damn media, always blowin crap out of proportion, are those people even human?

alright, im done,time for a beer:D

Kudos to him on thinking out of the box and using that Chainsaw as aweapon!

But seriously, isnt taking a chainsaw camping, um......cheating?

If it happened as he said... the victim was very lucky. It's normally all over when a mountain lion is on your back. The fall down the hill probably saved his life.

I have had two animal encounters where I used my knife.... both were dogs. One was easily swayed but the other was in it till the end.

Main problem was, he didn't use at least a 300 dollar knife.

A $400 custom would have killed it outright. As things stand, all his cheap Buck 110 did was to bounce off the cat's side, hurting its feelings.

So, he was gathering firewood, attacked, fell down a hillside and the two were stopped by a log before he was able to grab a knife.

I assume the knife must have been on his person and I assume it was a fixed blade since I doubt he would have had time to open a folder while being devoured by kitty.

The next day, the tracking hounds could not pick up the scent of a wounded animal.

He sought no medical attention and did not want his name used.

I hope the game warden posts his findings, especially on the type of knife and sheath the man used. I would be interested to see his wounds too.

So far, I am a li'l skeptical about his claim. Anyone else? Or am I missing something? I don't claim to be an expert on mountain lion attacks.
