Idea for a beckerhead collaboration/contest

You know what would be cool? Since there are two knives, have one go to John Stitt for being cool enough to give us all these goodies and freebies and whatnot, and then the other goes to someone either randomly or by vote, etc... My two cents anyways. I would love to see something mirror finished and engraved. Like a BK7. That would be awesome. A real showpiece. Screw it, toss in some gold inlay as well.

On further thought, have one go to John, the other to Uncle E.
 
I really do think it's a great idea Clich and would be fun to participate in. As a matter of fact, I'm scowling to myself just thinking about it.

i'm just going to glue some macaroni and glitter on one side of a BK5 and spray paint a "finger turkey" on the other and send that to john for display :)

Derek I like that idea. Ill have to come up with something else as the prize. Gotta give the guys some incentive :D. But really that would be a nice gesture.

Im leaning towards the 7 for 2 reasons, one bcuz I've never held one so that would allow me to see one inperson before they ship out, and two becuz I've seen some crazy mods done to 9s and 2s but nothing that was really really out there on 7 (just that I have personally seen pics of)

I go on vacation the 27th thru the 3rd so im thinking ill start this up then, I will open up the official thread soon me thinks.

In some societies finger turkeys are a high form of art. I think John would totally appreciate that.

Only one mod person Bladite, finger turkeys are fine but please leave the macaroni and glitter for someone else
 
Don't forget the sheaths too. Those can certainly withstand some modifications. I would love to see some ESEE-esque serrations on the swedge of the 7. That would be pimp.

Any last minute suggestions guys? Im hammering out the details now and im thinking I will officially be posting sign up tonight or tomorrow morning. Any idea is a good idea, since the community is taking part I wanna hear your opinions
 
Clich, the BK-7 is $140 incl. shipping here. I can't pay 60€ = $85 for insured and tracked shipping, plus shipping it transatlantic would delay 6 weeks. I'm out, believe me :D

I'd love to be in it, but the logistics just don't work out.
 
I don't think I have the skills to do any mods to a knife yet. I'm still learning; so I'm out of this one.

Ah nick you can do something, patina, stitch a leather patch on the sheath, anything

Guys don't worry about not being "good" enough to do a mod. If you request it ill keep the epoxy on and someone can do that. Just sign up and do something. Its for a good cause
