Idea for a new line of Busses...

Would you like to see a series of Busses based on those from other cultures & times?

After reading Lycosa's latest knife request thread I got an idea I think is a good one:

How many of you would like to see Jerry and crew spend a little time designing a line of knives based on combat designs from other cultures and time periods?

Of course these knives would be re-envisioned in the aesthetic style of Busse Combat. And maybe they could be limited runs offered through the BCS or offered in tri-monthly mini-ganzaas names after the blade style which inspired them.

I think it's an interesting idea, and i'm sure many of the collectors would like to build a set of knives like these...not to mention those of us who train with edged weapons.

So...whaddy think? If you say yes, please post the syle/s of knife you'd like to see made.

Hey, maybe those of us with ideas/suggestions can post pics of the things we'd like to see done.
 
No doubt Mr. Busse and Co. could do anything they wanted to, so why limit them :thumbup::D
 
No thanks, it's hard enough to get current useful designs in the quantities and flavors many would like; why waste resources with novelty items?
 
The only way Jerry could produce anything worth while from other cultures is to start a sweat shop and use HOG prospects to flintknap INFI and then call upon the elder HOGs to kill as many critters as needed to yield handle materials for his greatest production masterpiece.

Otherwise, unless Jerry plans on making an INFI Bat'leth I'm happy with knives from the 21st century;)
 
I would love to see a thin, broad bladed INFI machete with one of Jerry's micarta handles. I use a machete all the time in my garden trimming palm fronds, Coppertop limbs, etc., and a Busse would rock!

If you mean pre-Obama by other cultures and 2 weeks by other times, then yes. That would bring back the BA III. Barring that, let's hope Jerry comes up with more cool and hopefully affordable designs without the help of too much redundancy.

I never like to see design copies but learning from others mistakes and success is not a terrible idea in my mind. I like the design of Busse knives. I also like Custom Shop 1911’s….. I already have more Busse knives than I can use at one time so any additional, completely Busse original design or not, is a novelty item in my mind. This is all just my opinion and probably not worth much. I can see where it would not be novelty if you were just introduced to the company though.
