Ideal belt speeds?

Hey all,

I almost posted this question in another KMG thread, but didn't want to derail it.

So, does anyone know the ideal SFPM for Blaze belts? I run them at 5416, but with my new controller I could increase that if it would make the belts work better.

Also, does anyone know what the ideal speeds are for other, finer grits? I use 240 and 400 grits, and sometimes 600, mostly Klingspor brand AO.

Most of my years knifemaking, I used the KMG with the three speed v-belt setup, but now I can dial things in better.

Try the Norton website, ot contact their customer service, they do all sorts of research and post all kinds of data sheets

It will depend on the material too.
