ideas for a next generation Kopa

Just received the CF Kopa today - First impressions: A little gem of a knife, flawless f&f. But small, especially after carrying the Endura's 3 3/4 inch blade!

Since I hadn't actually handled one, it was suprising. You can read the dimensions of something, but it doesn't mean much until you feel it in your hands.

As for the future of the Kopa, how about an upsized version with a 3" blade? Keep all the relative dimensions the same, and offer a clipped and non version. That would be the same size as a Sage, which is the perfect size for a small EDC.

New handle materials and limited production would keep the level of interest high. Just my 2 cents.

A super light Kopa shouldn't be out of the question. Aluminum could be used for the liners and bolsters without changing any of the tooling. The liners could be skeletonized to further reduce weight. The decorative element would have to be something lightweight also, keeping with the theme. Some kind of colored carbon fiber maybe. Red? Green?

I like the idea of a slightly upsized Kopa. Would be neat to see. :)

Put me in with the people that feel the weight much less when a knife is clipped on versus just sitting in the pocket. The only problem with the Kopa is that the clip is so smooth, as well as the scales, and it falls off. I almost lost it once in Victoria, so after that I always carried it loose in my pocket. Never had that problem with the other clipped knives I've carried.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Carbon Fiber Kopa. It was selling for $79--I figured that's a good price for a Sprint run. I needed a "gentleman's knife" anyway.

Ok, so now I own 10 knives of various makes including 3 Spydies. That's it! I'm going to nip this collecting binge in the bud!

I have been eyeing the CF Kopa and really want to get one [or two] lol to match my 2 CF Kiwis.

I thought the collecting would never end up being "collecting" but just a small variety to choose from...nope. My name is Nathan and I am a Knife-aholic.
