My wife and my 6th Wedding Anniversary is coming up soon and I need help with ideas for a gift made from Iron. As I understand it, the traditional gift for the 6th Wedding Anniversary is one made from Iron.

I am looking for an anniversary gift that is made either from Wrought Iron or some other Iron derivative. As I understand it Carbon Steel has over 90% Iron in its contents. Unfortunately, my wife would not understand nor appreciate receiving a knife whose contents are primarily the element from which our Anniversary's year represents.

I am guessing that there are many folks here that have ideas of where I can purchase a good wrought iron gift or sculpture.

So if you have any suggestions or ideas for an appropriate wedding anniversary gift made fro Iron please let me know.

I've probably started looking a little late as usual. My anniversary is on 4/19.

I know that this is not knife related. However, I know many of you work with metal and may have some ideas and/or suggestions that would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brett

A Hand Forged Rose would be nice!

Before you limit yourself to wrought iron consider meteorite iron. The butterfly I made for my wifes birthday, the cross I made for my grandsons christening

Mr. Appleby, I like the gifts that you made with the meteorite iron!
