Are you talking about the fixed blade knife being completely inside your pocket? are you going to "suspend " or attach it to the outer edge of the pocket
I personally would never trust the stitching of a pair of jeans or kahkis on a daily EDC basis with something constantly pushing against the seam of a pocket. also if its loose in a pocket how will the knife end up during everyday constant movement?
So you may want to consider the sheath system/method of carry in the pocket itself before you choose the knife. then look at whats out there and you may have to then get/make a custom sheath that fits your needs . I find the majority of sheaths provided with fixed blades to be an afterthought and of poor quality . One good sheath on a production fixed blade was the Brous Silent soldier .
I have found trying to EDC a FB with the handle poking out the top of the pocket to be uncomfortable as its always sticking into me when sitting. and re-sheathing needs to be considered also. cant just shove the blade into your pocket .
some like the static line method I myself don't like how the knife floats around but at least you don't lose the knife if your pocket seam lets go
also the average jeans pocket has a depth of like maybe 7-8"? I am not absolute on this just basing on what I wear. other brands may be different. so the length of the knife plays a critical factor in carry also. have to weigh what you want for length with attire and possibly laws and such for carry
just some thoughts from someone going through the journey themselves
