Ideas for small pocket carry fixed blades

Lionsteel M1. M390 steel, practical blade shape, just enough handle for 4 fingers, tiny package.

Are you talking about the fixed blade knife being completely inside your pocket? are you going to "suspend " or attach it to the outer edge of the pocket
I personally would never trust the stitching of a pair of jeans or kahkis on a daily EDC basis with something constantly pushing against the seam of a pocket. also if its loose in a pocket how will the knife end up during everyday constant movement?
So you may want to consider the sheath system/method of carry in the pocket itself before you choose the knife. then look at whats out there and you may have to then get/make a custom sheath that fits your needs . I find the majority of sheaths provided with fixed blades to be an afterthought and of poor quality . One good sheath on a production fixed blade was the Brous Silent soldier .

I have found trying to EDC a FB with the handle poking out the top of the pocket to be uncomfortable as its always sticking into me when sitting. and re-sheathing needs to be considered also. cant just shove the blade into your pocket .

some like the static line method I myself don't like how the knife floats around but at least you don't lose the knife if your pocket seam lets go
also the average jeans pocket has a depth of like maybe 7-8"? I am not absolute on this just basing on what I wear. other brands may be different. so the length of the knife plays a critical factor in carry also. have to weigh what you want for length with attire and possibly laws and such for carry
just some thoughts from someone going through the journey themselves

I've carried a fixed blade loose in my pocket for over two years now I think. No problems at all if you get the right size.

This one has been in my pocket since the day I got it. Came from a guy named illtemperedknives on instagram. Paid ~70 bucks I think. Just about perfect for my needs.

My main piece of advice is start small and determine if you really need all the handle and blade that you think you do. I started with a CRKT minimalist and it was maybe just a whisker too short. I moved to a candiru with micarta scales and that was pretty decent but this little custom jobber is just the ticket.

Maybe you really need a full grip and maybe you truly need 4 inches plus worth of cutting edge. Myself I work in an office and I do not.

I think a cold steel mini Pendleton would work. For an EDC belt carry it's great. So if it doesn't for your needs you still have a great knife. For around $30 it's worth a shot

That's a sweet setup Ryanol !!!

chances are people wont have a problem with pocket failure . I have had maybe two pairs of jeans and a few pairs of cargo/Kakhi pants where I developed a hole in the inside pocket/pouch so for myself its just peace of mind.

Ive tried a lot of FB knives in the pocket with varying degrees of success for myself but I am particular in my comfort. I would not carry a FB with a thick handle/scales cause it drives me nuts having big pocket bulges . (no puns needed here thank you!!)

Just bringing up some of the obstacles I have encountered on the journey . Your observations are dead on as well. Like with any EDC item thought must be put into things and/or spending a bit of money finding the right thing for you

I have a Hinderer flashpoint that I like quite a bit. The kydex sheath will work with a small tek-lok if desired. I have no trouble carrying it in a side pocket, and using my thumb to push off the sheath during a draw. It takes a little practice , but works quite well.

got a Landi PSK with carbon fiber scales, good size, flat may not exactly got in pocket but I can take off the belt attachment. Another one I have is the Fallkniven WM1, thin handle but once you maneuver it around, it is okay.

The Loveless Stiffhorn (or City Knife) is great for pocket carry:

This little WD Pease has had a lot of pocket time:

I picked up one of these little Pendleton's fro Cold Steel not to long ago. The sheath sucks, but that's not hard to get around.

Another vote for Street Beat. Second pic shows mine in the center with a pocketable KSF leather sheath, since OP asked pocket carry.
