ideas on handle material i should use

blade is still annealed so i can file,cut,and drill.The overall mesurement is 5-3/4".Any sugestions will be great help. thanks,Sean

I can't tell how thick that piece is but why not leave it as is. If it has been hardened how are you going to drill holes, i it hasn't then jut some skeleton holes would look cool.
