I just today bought a handmade knife that looks like a frontier/mountain man knife at a gun show here in Fredericksburg, VA on 8/2. The dealer told me the name (Larry Watkins ?) but I cannot remember exactly. The makers mark is LW etched on one side and he lives in North Carolina. It has a 7 inch thin blade made from L6 steel and has a tiger maple wood handle. It looks similar to period knives made by SwampFox or by ML Knives. Can someone's help to identify it. Sorry no pics at this time. Or can someone find me a good list of custom makers in North Carolina?
