Looks like a cheap Chinese flea market knife to me.
Since it's got a kydex sheath it could be an M-TECH as that's the most common brand of flea market specials to come with kydex sheaths.
Not sure why someone would bother making a sheath for such a knife unless it was practice so I'm thinking it probably came with it.

I wouldn't trust it. Super thick it might be, but thick unknown steel with a crappy heat treat is still a no-go.

Not sure I get how a knife made by an unknown manufacturer in an unknown steel with lord only knows what kind of quality is "super badass."

As a recovering knife snob who used to scoff at any fixed blade under $500, I can tell you some of the cheap 420J Chinese or Taiwanese jobs will occasionally make fun of thousand dollars customs in D-2 (chipping) or S30V (micro-rolling). And they will do so while being far easier to sharpen, with thinner and sharper edges that are straighter and better spine-centered, and also inherently more precisely ground and symmetrical (than a $2K Lile, to name but one). I agree $15 is getting way, way too low, but I would never assume anything anymore, in good or in bad (unless it says CPM, in which case I pass without further ado).

Of course you aren't talking about cutting or any actual knife tasks so this opinion can be entirely discredited.

I got a few Striders 4 sng 4 smf a fixed neck knife and a RSS i think the name is right liner lock
It is a pos i know,,kinda sure it sold new for more than 11.99 perhaps.
clones and copies with always be here
Strider has always went out of there way to fix any knife i have traded for here..
Liner locks failing because of pimping by the wrong hands.

Thank you for the feedback
