Identify this bizarre knife

Sheffield used to make in multi-tool knives like that one in a variety of configurations. I think the one which includes all available implements is called the Beast.

Schrade, Marbles, Case also sold its own renditions of that style at some time. An alternative knife to the Swiss Champagnes XLT, but with mostly blades.

I'd say given age and good condition and fit, it appears to be a European version. Looks like a Sheffield.

There's also a museum just for those Sheffield knives like the Vics. A lot of history and variations of that knife.

Best way to track it's ID would be to follow ita history through its chain of sales/hands. Look there.

Having 3 different kinds of can opener certainly bolsters the idea that this was a salesmans sample knife. The buyer could pick which one they wanted on the knives they ordered.--KV

As an aside...

I usually hate these things but at least the OP piece is unique, interesting and appealing with the stag/brass. I have a family member that bought the Champ XL or whatever it's called, and it's just absurd how wide the handle is compared to the thin tool you're trying to use. I mean, I seriously must be missing something when it comes to operating these things - if we're setting the ergonomic scale at 0 to 10, then this thing definitely defines zero...

I'm actually with you on that. I've never liked any multi tools, usually when a tool can do multiple functions it doesn't do any one thing good. I like quality tools built to do a specific job. Which is why I kinda wanted confirmation that this was some kind of Dealer sample, because if it was built and marketed to be an actual users tool I probably wouldn't like it as much haha.
