Hey guys,

A friend of mine sent me a photo of his most recent knife purchase from a lot on ebay. It looks really nice, but neither him nor myself can figure out what type of knife it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A broken one?

With no tang stamp I couldn't venture a guess.
Your guess is as good as mine. I can have him better examine the knife for distinct markings etc... As of the moment, I just have the 3 photos to go by.

Looks like there are no other markings on the knife. It opens in a manner similar to a switchblade by pressing on the decorated part of the handle.

It's a cheapo made in Pakistan. Is it a bolster lock perhaps where you use the bolster to unlock it ? ( basically a lock back with the bolster attached to it which you move )

I'm not familiar with that particular knife, but I'd bet it's a Mike "Whiskers" Allen.

The pins on the scale look like his style and the bolster release mechanism is sort of his signature.

don't know buddy. it sure looks pretty nice though. hope you get figured out what it is!

You might be right. Never seen a bolster like that on a Whiskers knife.

Looks just like a knife I saw somewhere recently, but I can't place it.
The Pakistani knives are really getting hard to identify from true custom knives recently.
But the likelihood of getting a high end custom knife in a lot of other knives in an eBay auction seems pretty small . especially when it's unmarked.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm understanding that it may be a Mike "Whiskers" Allen knife or a pakistan knock off of one.

I agree. Appears to be a Pakistan premium, being highly stylized with the sawback spine which is apparently a common feature to include, regardless of form.

There are some really skilled craftsman in Pakistan, really rich in design. Shame the same can't be said for the materials. The Damascus looks nice, though. Good showpieces.
