Well, I have already listed that one of my favorite knives is the IDUN from Fallkniven..but now it has to rate as an all around cool mofo! check out the sheath I just got from the Netherlands.....Mr. Martin Swinkels posted some pics here a while back..I liked the kedex and leather combo idea..and gave him an email. We worked something out...he had the Fallkniven IDUN on his list of knives..I need a sheath for mine...it was perfect..lets say that I am very pleased with the sheath. Check it out..I need some better pics. Maybe later this week! Gene

Very slick new sheath, looks like nice workmanship I'd say you've done well. It looks like the Idun now has some worthy leather-work.

sweet leather work...

what do you mean kydex and leather? does it have a kydex liner or something?

Yes, the knife is actually in a kydex sheath. Then the kydex sheath is rapped in waterproofed leather , the back side has loops for lashing gear as well. Basically one of the best sheaths I have ever seen! Gene

What is the retention method? Does the sheath grip the blade or the guard? I ask because I detest Kydex stratches on my blades.

That looks great bro, your gonna have to bring that along w/ you at the CT gathering if you can make it! I'd love to check that thing out.

If you haven't already go to the Makers Section and then to Dan Koster's forum,Martin addresses this and others.. and I think it will answer your questions. On another note I just received my sheath today from Martin for a Koster Bushcraft...and I echo gunknifenut "an all around cool mofo!"

that is a great looking set-up... that sheath rocks... :thumbup:i have always liked those IDUN'S...

Kydex rap on the hilt...It leaves scratches..but thats ok with me..so do I.

Quality rig.

I'm not a fan of leather handles, but I've fondled the whole range of those and they are gorgeous. My playmate loves that knife specifically. When I told her how well I'd expect it to perform she really wanted it. Then, despite my telling her that synthetics would be a more practical alternative, and the price / performance aspect for what she does, she still really really wanted it. Dunno if she'll ever get round to it, but it is a beauty. That sheath does it proud too.

Really nice set up! Love the stacked handles on that knife. The kydex/leather combo is a nice blend of practicality and style.

You're a lucky guy!

Thanks Kev, it is a really comfortable handle. I love the feel, not really any hot spots. Gene

I'm not normally a big fan of stacked leather handles (I know, Gene, here we go again :D), but that one is a beauty and now you have pants to match. Excellent!
