If cost wasn't a consideration, what knife would you get?

Just ordered an AJ Russell Acies titanium lock knife. Any better knifes out there for in the $400 range? Liked the way it looked and the reviews. If cost was not a consideration, what knife would you get?
 
In the spirit that the question was asked, my choice would a be swamp rat of some size.
 
I'd get on a custom slip joint makers list like Bose, Erickson, Halfrich, Pena, Menefee, etc.
 
First, I'd go on a buying spree on all of the forums. Next, I'd contact Yuna, RJ Martin, and Les George and tell each of them to build me a masterpiece. Just build whatever they want with the most exotic materials that money can buy. Charge me whatever they want as long as another will never be produced again. Finally, I'd get my hands on all the old school Brend ground Microtechs.

Do you have a link of this? Graham Knives is the custom maker of the Razel. The only way there would be a Demko Razel would be if they did a collaboration.
 
Well first off there's an Al-Mar available locally I like a lot.

Then I'd start searching for the ones that got away before I could decide: like a drop-point hunter in the Lovelass tradition I once saw by Pederson (I think the gentleman's name was), at a show years ago.

Then I'd look for a Bo Randall, and a few other famous makers.

I missed on a couple Puma folders a few years back, though I do have my father's Western, which looks old ('50's? '60's?) and the same pattern as a '60's Puma Skinner (which I'd also like: to match my brother's, which I've always envied).

It's endless once the desire kicks up...

I once had an old Sheffield with a broken bone handle with a tapered full tang on a medium Bowie pattern. I'd like one in better shape.

I'd have to have a shed to house the collection I'd acquire if money was suddenly not a concern anymore. My lil' ol' drawer of traditional pocket folders would explode into warehouse level.

a ken coats shadow toothpick with burl handles...and a ritter grip with wilkins scales...aaaannd a nice custom fixed blade of some sort.

Honestly, as an owner of an Acies - I'd probably buy 3 more of them.
Congratulations, I own many more expensive knives and have friends that own more expensive knives.
I carry my Acies and EVERYBODY I have turned on to the Acies now carries - the Acies.
That said - I were really rich. I'd do what I do now, cruise the High End knife (and Gun) dealers and change only one thing - I'd actually Buy the stuff I look at.:)
Fact is, you bought one of the nicest knives you will ever own.
