Hi new here just finished a few years of spending and testing. Here’s what I found out $18,000 later.....
1. Sebenza is always dull, yes even if you look at it wrong. They hung up on me. Maybe I hit a vein cause wasn’t rude?!
2.Emerson: 5th ones the charm. (Not garbage.) QC lol customer is the QC. Can’t deny the truth. Great steel though....
3. Lion Steel: wow. Yes wow.
4. Extrema Ratio: customer service from the other side of the planet? No problem. A+++
5.Spyderco: love that hole. Wish my pockets were wider.
6. ZT: customer service winner.
7. Fallkniven: chipppy chippy.$$$$$$$
8. Bark river: Bravo 1.5 great survival knife the other 3 are perfect too. Go A2 it rusts but the 3V rusts like raw iron.
9.Benchmade: not enough detent for this guy. Great gifts.
10. Hogue: balance points are off, sharp edges. No detent.
So if I could keep only one .....it’d be my BRK mini-bushcrafter in elmax. YMMV

One fixed of what I have: Esee 6
One folder of what I have: Xm18 3.5 gen 4
One traditional of what I have: Case trapper ss

Maybe not one of the first batches like mine. Also the slabs weren’t identical. cut once something something....

Have no problem keeping mine sharp, and have always found their customer service to be tops. Some of the nicest people out there IMO.
I have a number of knives that could be my only one if I needed to go that way, Sebenza being one, but not the only one.
but you are certainly allowed you own opinion on the matter

 Where you went totally wrong is no Cold Steel . So you missed the best ! Too bad ...so sorry . :(:thumbsdown:

Imma have to go with a Sebenza too. Mine are rippin’ sharp, and I use them all day everyday of the week in a tough environment (construction). It’s all about the right edge for the right job.
I’ve also never had an issue with their CS.

Might I suggest sharpening practice for you?

I’d also keep my Ducasse lockback for my traditional choice.

If I could only have one, It would have to be a small to medium sized fixed blade. I guess I’d go with my Fiddleback Forge Monarch. Runner up would be the FF Esquire.

Man, that's way tough...

Do I pick one of my HI khukuris that I have the most time behind? My OG Fiddleback Woodsman back when Andy was cranking them out basically by himself? Tough call.

Taking sentiment (mostly) out of it, Large CRK Inkosi. Tough, comfortable in hand, easy to sharpen (i keep mine with a shaving, not popping, convex edge), and a good size that it can be pressed into service to do both smaller and bigger jobs.

There can be only one ...

If it is a folder, then probably either full size Ritter or Umnumzaan.

Fixed blade would have to go with CPK EDC 2 with a Busse Bossjack close second.
