If I had $20,000 to blow...

That's about $150 per knife. $150 for all the FRN jesters, the $150 lady bugs, $150 for delicas...

Is the same dealer number worth paying outrageous amounts for? NO WAY!!!! What a rip-off!!!! Those display cases aren't worth anything either. You could get more than twice the spydercos and a Harley Sportster for that much. NEW. I hope that seller gets buried with his way overpriced collection.

I doubt that those knives are worth $150+ apiece. Maybe a few are, but I wonder how they came to such a price?

Oops^^ he said it first :D

Trouble is some may be worth $250 like the Santa Fe Stoneworks ones, while other worth less then $50.

I'd buy 30 sebenzas.

:D

For me? Golf w/ nearly naked, long legged top heavy, nicely tanned ladies to retrieve my puts, lots of beer and maybe some rounds for anyone that shows up once I get "happy".

I guess I'd buy a knife or two also though.

I think a big old pile of Spydercos would be pretty close to the bottom of my $20,000 to spend list. :)

Instead, as others mentioned, I could get 10-20 amazing customs and have something of value and beauty for generations to come, instead of a, well, big old pile of Spydercos...

hmmm if i was going to do the fun thing i'd buy a suzuki gsxr 750, a new springfield national match m14 , and the biggest nicest bowie I could find or have made with my remaining funds.

Realistically I'd probably just put it in mutual funds, or maybe commodities if I was feeling brave.

I'm so lame....

I'd put nearly all of it into my college tuition and what was left working on my car and motorcycle. Maybe I'd buy some small customs <$300 and get my 1911 setup exactly how I want it <$500 in that. Otherwise yea, college, rent, and bills.  :o

i would also throw it into the market then i could buy all the customs i wanted wooooooooo :p

and then a jet ski

I'd place an order with Eugene Shadley for eighteen knives including all his patterns, and some duplicates all in Remington Greenbone. Assuming of course this is all fantasy knife money and the kids are all done with college.

Besides, who wants to buy someone else's collection, half the fun in collecting is getting one knife at a time. By the way he has had that spyderco collection on Ebay for months and no takers and I expect at that price  he never will.

I think his strategy is to keep it on eBay until inflation makes $20,000 worth about $500 in today's money. Then it will sell.

If I had $20,000 to blow on knives... I'd be shopping at KnifeArt.com

The seller will never get $20,000 for that collection. I don't know what some people are thinking. Possibly half that if a collector with deep pockets could be found, probably someone in Asia.
