If I have cash, and a pre-paid debit Visa card, how do I pay online?

I know this is a really odd post, but, my mom is going to slaughter me with her kitchen cultery if I buy anything else with my bank debit card. How... do I ask... is the best way to buy a knife online -Knifeworks.com- when all I have is cash, and a $50 pre-paid debit card?

I'm looking forward to that new Spec Bump, and I gotta have one when they come out.

Thanks, and sorry for an odd post...

Try buying a knife in an Ebay auction or Buy It Now, and paying for it with a money order. You can get them made with cash at any Walmart type store, and all you do is mail it out to the buyer. You could also contact any online store and see if they accept money orders.

I buy knives on E-Bay with Money Orders from the Post Office, so my Wife doesn't find out...LOL!!! I just have to pray I'm home when the UPS truck shows up, or send it to my friends house. Just double check to ensure that the E-Bay seller accepts PMO's BEFORE you bidd!

haha, yeah, my wife catches me half the time, the mailman or UPS will show up at just the wrong time. :grumpy:

And I usually just pay with a Postal money order when I'm trying to be sneaky, so the charge won't show up on the CC bill.

Most online stores have a mail option. Simply print the form, fill it out, and mail it with your money order.

You'll need lots of luck too. Your mom will find out sooner or later...

Here's the info from the Knifeworks website:
Q: What forms of payment does Knifeworks.com accept?

A: We accept all major credit cards including: Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express. Additionally, we accept Paypal and money orders. To pay by money order contact us at our toll free number when placing an order. If paying by money order, your order will be shipped when we have received the payment.

Man... well, how do I utilize my $50 debit-Visa one-time-thing... It's like a one-time gift card Visa. Can I slap that on the money order too?

Thanks,
Cleary

I have bought items from New Graham and used Visa gift cards. Just call them and tell them what you are doing. You may need to pay part with the card and part with a money order or some other method depending on how expensive the item you buy is. They were very cooperative and helpful.

I guess you could simply use the visa debit card to pay for part of the money order.
That seems like a better way to go, in case you have to return the knife for some reason.......using a both debit card and a money order as a combined payment to the store might complicate them being able to issue you a refund.

That's true about the refund, but I've never had to do it, and I don't see that as a problem. I was just concerned about the money order part.

Thanks,
Cleary

The post office takes debit & credit cards.
I opt for paypal myself whenever I can, but in the past month I sent a money order out and used ny visa to by the money order.
That would be the easiest solution for me, but ymmv.....anyway, good luck with your purchase! :)
