Maybe I'm weird, but I can't say I've ever been compelled to buy a knife because of its color. Handle color doesn't much matter, because if the knife is where I can see to use it, that part is covered up by my hand. I have been choosy about handle materials, though. I guess I could say I prefer blades that are the color of...metal.
Not that I'd rush to buy it, but I wouldn't mind seeing more knives with a lustrous sort of blued gunmetal finish, or like polished hematite. I liked that look from some of the '90's fantasy knives, but I'm certain it was just paint. Metals don't get there without some dedicated treatment. Ceracoat seems to have replaced the traditional thing, which is fine, but I wonder if there's a way to simulate that look while maintaining the protection. I've seen titanium get close, but I dislike how easily it collects scratches, and the finish I'm thinking of would be ruined by that.
