Thinkbig here...

I'm a big fan of The Sharktank. If I had a few million that was ready to burn, I would buy a controlling interest in Microtech. Tony would retain 40% and Marfione custom knives wouldstill be completely his. I would be CEO and my wice would be Controller. Tony would stay on as a designer but have little say in the running of MT. I'd restore MT back to honor and king of the hill of US made switchblades.

Buy Cold Steel and move 90% of production stateside. Offer more steel choices and name Andrew Demko "grand poobah"
 
Hmm id buy spyderco and then turn all production over to the chinese. Then I would get my popcorn and see how many flames I get before I am banned :P

I kid, I kid. But seriously, if money were no object I probably wouldnt want to run a production company. Id make sure my family was set for the rest of their lives and id move to a beautiful quiet area, where I could just build things and tinker in my machine shop all day. I would make knives for fun, pure and simple.
 
I would buy Winchester and Schrade and bring them both back to the USA.You did say money was no object.:D
 
I would set up a shop so I could make my own knives.. or really just customize the ones I have.

Then I would buy a chunk of Spyderco. That way I have all the access to any Spyderco Knife I want.
Then I would buy any and every Hinderer, Strider, CRK, ZT, Kershaw, Etc that I want.

I would set my family for life.

Oh and I would own a house just perfect for me and my animals lol.
 
I'd start my own knife company and bring my designs to fruition. I'd also bank roll Charlie Mike so he could get his company started.
 
I would buy up Buck, Spyderco and all knife companies, then make them start producing the knives they discontinued and return them to their current line ups.
 
I've thought about this alot. If I had several million just sitting in the bank I would buy tons of CNC machining equipment and beastly computer controlled ovens and start up my own knife company with a similar model to what Busse does with everything being done in house with no outsourcing and total control over the product. Id hire some well experienced machinists and get to work. My dream is custom maker quality materials and heat treat in a production knife. Id want to explore all the emerging steels and heat treat them to their maximum potential. I think my first knife would be a K390 bushcrafter and a really versatile Nessie in ELMAX. Plus Id probably make some dream blades that I feel there is a market for. Like giant hybrid machete choppers made out of great steel like L6. Id also make the highest performance machete ever. Rubber handles and .155 thick 3V/ or maybe L6 or 52100.

I would want to make the best performing knives out there at different price ranges. The knives would be geared towards being slicers and I would have a disclaimer that if someone wants the TOUGHEST knife available buy a Busse but if they want a high performance slicer stick with my company.

Ahhh if only I had a couple million laying around :)
 
I'd buy Hinderers and resell them at the price they are supposed to sell at to any and all who would like one regardless of occupation. :P
 
I would start my own mid tech knife company concentrating on ultra high performance if I had that much money or if i only had a few million I would invest in something like Spyderco or Busse.
 
If I would have several extra million $$ I would invest in Spyderco under two conditions:
1. to expand Golden plan to start making custom collaborations in US
2. make Ti Fluted Natives, with steel change to 204p (with #1 for me) before end of this year. I am trying to be reasonable here :D
 
Well now that I won 121 million in the Powerball lottery...hmm, let me see..................
