If my PM box was full

would I receive messages that were sent while it was full after I cleared out some room?

I don't think so. I think the P.M.s just get bounced back to the sender and have to be re-sent after you make room.

What I do is download all my PMs to .txt format, then I clear out the inbox.

From my experience, a sender's note won't even leave if a mailbox is full. So it doesn't go into a hold somewhere.

We get the note 'Mailbox is full. Sorry' or similar and you have to save it or delete.
