Purely for your personal enjoyment What knife (singular) would you want if price wasn't an issue? Why?

NOT for resale reasons !!!!!!!!!

Probably a large Sebenza.I've never even held one, but it must be really something to have earned the following it has!I know there are many great customs, but my needs are simple.

If I could afford one, I'd either buy a Ken Onion or Allen Elishewitz custom lefty (or both...if I could afford it). I've never seen either in person, but I like both makers aethetic.

Well, that's a pretty hard question to answer for me, cause there are more than one that vie for the light of day.
But, for this thread, I'm going to choose;
A folder made by Rob Simonich. This would have the following features;
A Talonite blade, 3.5" Warncliffe style
Titainium frame with exotic handles, maybe some of that Australian Beefwood or something like that
Full file work on all metal edges
Rolling Lock or Axis lock
Blade would have either an opening hole or stud
No clip, it would ride in one of G2's horizontal sheaths
Sigh, that's it I guess. Sure is fun to fantasize.

Ken, not because you started the thread, but a knife with a kicker like you had at the Blade show, the Sharky looking thing? But I would want the blade shape to be more wharncliffish with a slight rise towards the tip of the blade, blade length to be about 2 3/4", flat ground to the back with a nice palm swell on the handle, scales in a very intricate Ironwood burl.....getting woosy....yeah that's what I'd really like, blade material, BG42 or Talonite (R) would top it off.

That kicker of yours acts like a front guard when the blade is opened and it is what throws the blade open with the help of the torsion bar under the scales, nicely done!

Ken,

You post good threads for the betterment of the forum.

Darrel Ralph has posted some good ones lately also.

The participation of top class custom makers is a good thing.

For me, and this is current feeling subject to change at anytime, I have come to prefer traditional sandwich handle folders, Ti liners, micarta scales, leaf spring, satin finish.

With some flair beyond the tightly dimensioned black and grey tactical folder.

For example, a Reese Wieland folder with hidden screws, Ti construction, first class hardware (pivot, bushings, screws, etc.) polished crowned micarta slabs in a color other than black, shape almost symmetrical except for the handle butt, a handle which is not articulated, and a 4" blade, all metal parts satin finished, would do it for me.

Money is not the issue. I want traditional craftmanship with some flair, but not over the top.
